Has a wide and solid experience in energy management including supply, strategy and demand. Has strong background in process industrial plant including oil & gas, power& water generation process, material handling process, glass manufacturing process etc. 
Current job is Senior Director - Demand Side Management in Dubai Supreme Council of Energy looking after the whole energy demand management spectrum of emirate of Dubai.  Served previously in oil and gas industry for many years as project division manager / Project Manager, handled mega feed and EPC projects and worked as general manager in glass manufacturing company as well.

Graeme Sims is the Executive Director of Dubai’s Electricity and Water Regulator, the RSB.  An economist by background, he has over twenty five years’ experience of the electricity and water industries gained in the UK and UAE.    
Graeme was Deputy Director General at the UK’s Office of Electricity Regulation where he was responsible for the electricity industry in Scotland.  From there he moved to Abu Dhabi to establish the emirate’s water and electricity regulatory body, acting as its first Director General.  On his return to the UK he joined United Utilities, a FTSE100 utility company, serving as its Regulation Director and sitting on the board of United Utilities’ water business.      
Graeme is a graduate of Oxford University and began his career with the Boston Consulting Group.

Stephane le Gentil is the Chief Operating Officer and acting Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Energy Services (ADES), the Abu Dhabi Government Super ESCO. ADES is in charge of retrofitting Government and Commercial buildings in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to save electricity and water. 
Stephane brings with him more than 30 years’ experience in various industries including many years of expertise in energy efficiency and ESCO activities. He came to the UAE in 2013 to found and manage Etihad ESCO, the Dubai Government Super ESCO, aiming to retrofit 30,000 buildings in Dubai. In 2017 he founded Wattaqa to provide strategic consultancy & advisory in energy efficiency and energy services in the Middle East region, and was also CEO of the Clean Energy Business Council, a non-profit organization fostering the development of clean energy in the MENA region. In 2018 he joined ENGIE Middle East, South & Central Asia, and Turkey as Head of Energy Efficiency where he created ENGIE’s ESCO activities in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Hassan Younes is the Co - CEO & Founder of grfn, a multi-disciplinary consultancy  and has over 15 years of extensive experience in the fields of Energy Efficiency, Design, Sustainability, and Project Execution and Management. Hassan has been involved in many high-end projects in the MENA region encompassing MEP designs, energy efficiency, commissioning management , sustainability and measurement and verification for new and existing buildings in the MENA region. He also was involved in energy and sustainability policy studies for many governmental entities in the GCC.  
He is a trainer for the ASHRAE Global Training Centre.  He is a trainer for the Association of energy engineers’ Certified Energy Manager ( CEM) course,  Energy Valuation Organization’s Certified Measurement Verification Professional (CMVP) course and the facilitator for the Emirates Green Building Council Building Retrofit Program. He is an appointed Consultant for ASHRAE 62.1 Standard and is a member of the training committee for the CMVP course. 
He is also the current ASHRAE Falcon Chapter president and on the technical committee and was the Vice Chair of CIBSE Regional Chapter. Hassan holds all the ASHRAE certifications.

Mhairi Main Garcia is vice-chair of the board of the Clean Energy Business Council.  A practising lawyer, Mhairi is a partner in the energy and infrastructure team of international law firm Dentons specialising in energy and infrastructure projects, advising on project development and M&A in the energy and infrastructure sectors.  She advises sponsors, lenders, contractors and public sector clients in numerous jurisdictions across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe. 

Mhairi has a passion for renewables and clean energy.  She focuses in particular on advising on corporate and commercial aspects of renewables projects, including solar (PV and CSP as well as distributed solar), wind and waste-to-energy, in addition to advising on conventional power, water, wastewater and district cooling projects.

Jason John

Jason John is the Technical Engineer at Emirates Green Building Council and is responsible for leading and supporting the technical programs at EmiratesGBC. 
Jason is the co-author of several key industry publications such as the Defining Nearly Zero Energy Buildings in the UAE, the State of our Schools White Paper, the Building Efficiency Accelerator Benchmarking Project Report, the Advancing Deep Retrofits Report and the Making UAE Schools Healthy Report. He also sits on the World Green Building Council’s Advancing Net Zero Steering Committee and the Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment Taskforce and Technical Working Group.
Jason is an award-winning Material Science Masters graduate from Queen Mary University of London. He received the Best Materials Student Award and the International Science and Excellence Award for all years of completed study. He constantly strives for quality and excellence and challenges himself to outperform expectations.
Prior to joining the Council, Jason worked on two cutting edge research projects that were aimed at sustainability: Energy Harvesting using piezoelectrics and Water Splitting using Solar thin films. As such, he has a keen understanding of the needs to improve the global energy demands through active research.
